Registration for the "Certificate for University Lecturers in Education for Sustainable Development" of the Alliance of Sustainable Universities in Austria is now possible until 31 October 2023!
The Alliance's Education for Sustainable Development working group has been offering free certification for university lecturers since October 2022. The "Certificate for University Teachers, Education for Sustainable Development" is awarded by the Alliance of Sustainable Universities as part of a further education programme.
The second round of the certificate will begin with a kick-off on 20 November 2023 in Vienna. With synchronous, asynchronous, digital and face-to-face courses, teachers will gain a wide range of insights into the broad field of education for sustainable development as part of the two-semester certificate programme.
After successfully completing the certificate (total of 4 ECTS, which corresponds to around 100 working hours), university lecturers are able to orientate their teaching towards sustainable development. This includes not only teaching sustainability concepts and discourses, but also critically examining their own subject and communicating potential contributions of the subject to a sustainability-orientated social transformation.
Further information on registration, curriculum, organisation and requirements can be found on the certificate page.
